Skip Beat is becoming a drama!

In Dec. 18th, one of my favorite anime, Skip Beat, is becoming a Taiwanese drama! I am so excited! It will be called Extravagant Challenge and it will be featuring my two favorite Super Junior members, Donghae and Siwon! (I switched to Siwon as my number one favorite if you wanted to know) I watched the trailer and it looks so cute!!

Ok, So I was totally going to go to the SM Entertainment concert in New York, but I had no one to go with. GAH. But I will go to one of their concerts one day. Super Junior is an awesome K-pop band. The adorableness! The picture below is of Heechul and his kitty-cat!

He is my bias of Super Junior. I really love him in the "Perfection" and "Supergirl" music videos. He dances soooo well and sings in a way that makes me melt. Those songs that I have listed are from the subgroup, Super Junior M. This subgroups of Super Junior sings Mandarin Chinese, and I absolutely love their sound. (You have to check it out!)

Update on my exciting/boring life!

So if you read my previous note about guys and dating and what-not, you would know I was talking to this guy and we even went on a date! I even got my first and second kisses of my 20 years of life! Sad, right? But now I can say I did! BWAHAHA! Unfortunately, the guy wasn't my type and he kept touching me almost obsessively. So we aren't going to continue our relationship. But I don't care. Some day I will find the guy for me.

That's me on the left, being a dork, and that's Shalee on the right. We went to B-dubs to eat... I hated my food by the way. I think Applebee's wings are better than B-dubs.

So anyway, right now I am obsessed with three new shows I started to watch. The first is Secret Circle, which is on after one of my other favorite shows Vampire Diaries. I read the book by L. J. Smith, so I very much excited about this new series! It will be so cute! Here is a picture of it below.

Another show I have been watching is Jericho! It is about a nuclear fallout and it is really interesting. It was made in 2006 and you should watch!!!

And lastly, since I am such a dork, I have been watching this hilarious anime called Skip Beat. It so cute and funny! Basically this girl used to follow around Sho, her childhood friend. She did EVERYTHING for him! It seriously is ridiculous. But then you find out that he was using her while he worked on becoming a famous single. So she decided to get revenge and join show-biz as well. And she meets Ren, who is my fave guy in the show, and works on her revenge/dream. Skip Beat is gooood.

I really don't understand the minds of guys, nor do I pretend to. It's a mystery to me. See, I am 20 years old and never had a boyfriend. I am VERY much saddened by this thought. But I have trust issues, maybe, or perhaps I have too high of standards. I don't know, I just haven't found a guy who seems to fit me. I've been going on to sites for dating and mingling, but none have really helped. Sure, I 've got to texting guys and going on dates with them from these sites, but they were all flops. Well, except the guy I am talking to now. He might be a possibility. Wish me luck!

Disappointing TV

I was looking forward to several different shows and clips on tv this week but they all turned out to be complete failures or not exciting to capture my attention. First of all, let's start with the 2011 VMAs on MTV.

I must say that the VMAs were utterly disappointing. Lady GaGa was dressed like an ugly man and it was a little embarrassing/disturbing. The awards were given to the least deserving, and some of the musical performances were just terrible. Oh, and the stars' jokes were horrific. I mean, it wasn't all bad, but it was bad enough.

Now for this show, Death Valley, I was genuinely excited. It looked hilarious. THe commercials showed humour involving vampires, werewolves, and zombies. But the show was a bust. It wasn't as funny as the commercial portrayed and there wasn't enough action.

And then there was Ridiculousness. I actually enjoyed this show, but it isn't as funny as Rob Dyrdek's other showss, Rob & Big and Fantasy Factory. I did laugh and enjoy it, but I was a little disappointed.

I like manga/anime. I won't deny it. It is a fun way to read and I feel so connected to the Japanese/Korean cultures as I read it. Many people make fun of it (like my brothers) but the truth is, a lot of people read this stuff! You would be surprised at the amount of people I have met and found out that they read/watch the same stuff as I do. Most people keep it to themselves because it is something Americans make fun of. But I love it. That's all there is to it. And here are a few of my favorites.

Dengeki Daisy is a manga that is ridiculously good. It about a girl without parents and her brother died, leaving her only a cellphone connected to someone named "DAISY" who will watch out for her and protect her. It is a romantic story filled with action and secrets. There is so much suspense! I absolutely love it.

Hot Gimmick. It speaks for itself. It is one of the first mangas I have ever read and I fell in love with it. A girl lives in an apartment building that houses ompany workers with her family. But then the her childhood enemy comes back and harrasses her, basically tries to rape her. But another guy came back too: her childhood crush. This series filled with emotional pain and confusion. I personally wish the ending could have been different but it was still good.

Honey hunt! O hot damn do I love this series! I think it may be better then the series above. It is made by the same person who made Hot Gimmick but waaaaaay better. This girl is the daughter of a famous musician and an actress. She lives in their shadows. Her father abandons her while her mother is cruel to her. (Her mother slept with her best guy friend/crush.) She then decides to become an actress herself and surpass her mother. In the process she meets two guys: above is the picture of Q-ta, my absolute favorite. But for some reason EVERYONE loves his twin brother. She better end up with Q-ta!!!! But unfortunately, this series is on hiatus and I am not sure when it will continue. But it better be soon, dammit!

Fruits Basket. If you never seen/read this, you are missing out! Kyo is amazing! The members of the Soma family turn into the zodiac animals and because of it, they are tortured by it. The girl in the picture, Toru, is basically the answer to all of their problems. Her mother died and she goes to livwe with Somas and everyone cares for her and there is a thing between her and Kyo. Read the manga, it is more detailed and actually has an ending.

Ouran High School Host Club. The anime is good but the manga is better. (you may have noticed that I like manga better than anime). Basically, Haruhi is a girl who broke a vase in the host club's room and she has to pretend to be a guy to pay back her debt. Only the club know she is actually a girl. Tamaki rocks- he's the blonde guy. But I also like the twins- sitting next to Tamaki. But obviously Tamaki is best.

Yup. That is all for this time. I looooove manga!

The Gates

I was browsing Netflix yesterday and found this great show called The Gates. It is a show about a gated community where a lot of supernaturals live along with humans. I am on episode 4 and so far all that the supernaturals do is make trouble for themselves. This series is filled with drama and mystery and it keeps me hooked. There is romance, deciet, and betrayal. I love this series, especially when I watch others like Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and True Blood. But I love the brutality of the werewolves. Really, if you like the supernatual, this is a great show.
